Why Should a Christian wait upon God

Making mistakes as we go along life’s highway and never getting it right is a good reason to rather wait upon God and follow His lead. Many Christian’s are well and blessed in everything they put their hands to do and when you see that it may make you jealous or you envious of them.
You may feel like a looser looking at what other has achieved.
Maybe it’s time to stop and consider your ways. We should desire to be close to God, and to please Him in all we do at all times.
Bitterness, anger, strife, depression, sickness and decease, feelings of doubt, the list is endless. These are some of the results of doing it our own way and failing at it.
But, there is Hope in God, He never deserts us! No matter how stubborn we may become and how far away from Him we may dwell God will always bring us back to Himself, all we have to do is cry out to Him in Prayer and He will be right there.
When the bible calls us to wait upon the Lord what does that really mean? I’m sure you have an idea of what that might mean, or what it requires from us. It takes a real man/woman of integrity to truly live for God.
Characteristic of someone who eagerly waits on the Lord is:
1. A God fearing person. Here, Fear means to Honour.
2. A Repentant person. Someone who does not take the grace of God for granted.
3. Someone who eagerly please God.
4. No compromise. Does not compromise what they believe...
5. Steadfast. Sure of salvation in Christ, and appreciates Christ’s sacrifices.
6. Love the word of God, obey Gods commandments.
7. A Witness. Share the love with others.
8. Not given to gossip, always honest and trust worthy.
9. Loves fellow Christians, always willing to help others.
10. Seeks to make peace, never out to win an argument.
It takes discipline to be a Dedicated Christian. A Christian is not someone who goes to a particular church, neither is a Christian someone who knows what to say about the bible.
A Christian is someone who is born again, to become born again is to believe that God send Jesus to redeem us from sin through the shedding of His blood on the cross of Calvary, and when we confess our sins we are forgiven and are empowered to stop sinning.

Many people live in sin and are unrepentant although they say they are born again Christians. It’s easy to lie and deceive yourself, yes; you are only deceiving yourself not others. For you alone will bear the consequences of your sins.

A Christian lady told me one’s that being to dependant on God will make you hopeless; of course I was shocked to hear that! But, after getting to know her a little better I realized that this lady had no idea what being a Christian really is!
Be sure about your understanding of Salvation and being born again, it’s a mater of eternal life in heaven or hell.
If you are not sure, read the book of John in the new testament of the Bible. In fact, read the bible! Read everyday, educate yourselves in the things of God. The benefits of living in Gods presence in indescribable!
Living in waiting on Gods will for your life brings us closer to Him! We do not know what heaven looks like nor do we know the ways of God, So, why not live as close to God as possible?
There is so much more to write about Waiting on God and the benefits God has prepared for His children, I pray that a desire to know God deeper will inspire you to read the bible and discover His will for your life.
